Services
While point solutions deliver a certain level of results, a dynamically integrated
solution will maximize them. An effective cost management solution provides systemic
cost control through fully coordinated use of the highest quality, most cost-effective
products. Clients also gain greater transparency through improved reporting and
more meaningful data analyses.
To that end, we've listened carefully to our clients, conducted research and gathered
claim information to develop a proven model with an organized central approach.
In addition to delivering impressive cost savings, it eliminates frustrations associated
with multiple data feeds, file formats, and external vendors, which impair your
organization's overall daily workflow.
All services are handled in-house for maximum privacy and legal and regulatory compliance.
Regularly scheduled stewardship meetings give clients and staff the opportunity
to discuss performance and results, the introduction of new processes or services,
and ways everyone can work better toward achieving the same goals.
Visibility
By processing every claim, every day, PHX uncovers a wealth of previously untracked
data that can be used to create new cost management opportunities. We provide a
comprehensive array of standardized management reports that present this data as
easy-to-understand, actionable information. These reports are available by request,
or real-time reports can be viewed and downloaded via a secure client interface
on the PHX website. In addition, reports can be customized for your specific needs.
With PHX reports, you can gain visibility into costs according to benefit, provider,
network, diagnosis, member demographic, or on an overall basis. You can review claims
information by division or office, age group, benefit code, plan member, and more.
You'll have a clearer view of exactly where money is going, be able to spot existing
and developing trends, and recognize where further investigation is necessary.
We can help you establish data benchmarks for your type of plan, your geographic
region, types of treatment, and other useful indicators, so you can more easily
identify opportunities for improvement. We can also help you respond to various
situations where plan changes or health management programs can benefit both payors
and members alike.
Technology
At PHX, we're committed to state-of-the-art operations and systems. We can supply
full technology implementation, testing, training, startup, and support for quick,
seamless integration into any organization.
We have invested significant resources into experienced IT personnel, top-notch
hardware, and the best customized databases and computer software on the market
today.
With our in-house database servers, we've created one of the most accurate and responsive
systems available in the industry. To ensure operational continuity, we've adapted
disaster recovery procedures that include redundant telecom infrastructure, off-site
data back-up and IT system mirrors.
Privacy
The balance between privacy and cost containment can be difficult to manage. Some
firms will assign work to subcontractors or even offshore workers in order to cut
costs. While they take precautions, they cannot guarantee the safety of client data
– simply because it's literally out of their hands.
At PHX, we do everything in-house, from data entry to auditing, investigating, and
negotiating. After careful study, we've concluded that prudence is the best course
where data privacy is concerned. Processes that may be considered mundane, such
as data entry or clerical work, are actually where many government compliance issues
are triggered or problems avoided.
In addition, many states have enacted laws that address security and privacy concerns
related to exporting PHI-related documents outside the country. Federal laws are
based on the assumption that U.S. laws would apply to the people doing the processing.
Plan sponsors would be held responsible for things over which they have no control.
